Beer Club - Sep + Oct (Oktoberfest Special)

Beer club attendees will be transported to Munich and Oktoberfest with two new pilot brews rooted in German tradition. 

The first is a Munich Dunkel, the original official beer of Munich. The combination of German and Maine malts lend a richness and depth that create an elegant, slightly sweet, medium-bodied lager with notes of caramel, nuts and a bready finish. Although dark in color, it drinks easily making it the perfect pint (or boot mug liter!) to celebrate Oktoberfest. 

The second pilot brew is a German Rauchbier, a style Dan grew to appreciate while visiting Bamberg in 2020.  Our version features floor malted smoked malt from Blue Ox in Lisbon Falls, Maine, which lends a distinct smoky quality that is balanced by a tasty malty richness. 

Since both brews rely heavily on malt character, this is the perfect time to learn more about grain, malting and the Maine craft malt scene. Attendees will have the opportunity to Meet Ian Goering of Blue Ox and learn more about their offerings, operations and impact on the agricultural community.
